The Cinematic Eye

I have a Master of Arts in Cinema Studies from Savannah College of Art and Design. SCAD prepared me to approach critical analysis from many angles and present it in many formats. I write about any topic that grabs my attention, ranging from auteur theory and classical Hollywood stardom to the impact of globalization on modern film or feminist symbolism. My analysis of Guillermo del Toro's film Crimson Peak was published in 2019, and I've spoken at numerous conferences and symposiums about a range of topics.

Consultation

Rumination.avif

I had the incredible honor of serving as a creative consultant on the short film, Rumination. I provided insight, analysis, and perspective on editing and other post-production decisions directly to writer/director Chad Eric Smith. I also had the opportunity to present the film at a screening and Q&A session in Louisville, KY in the spring of 2019.

I am always open to consulting on projects of all lengths, formats, and stages of production. Please reach out if you'd like to discuss these services further.
